Norton Rose Fulbright

Acting as the local prime consultant in realizing the design concept of Lehman Smith McLeish (LSM), Figure3 led the documentation and construction oversight for the new Norton Rose Fulbright law offices in Toronto. Together the team of LSM and Figure3 created a modern and transformative workplace for the global law firm. Reducing their office footprint by 40% this new space was designed for inclusion and collaboration, and positions Norton Rose Fulbright as the law firm of the future.

Opening onto a stunning two-storey atrium on the building’s top two floors, the original architecture and travertine finishes of the Mies van der Rohe-designed building shine through. Truly reflecting the values of the firm, the new space is open and bright with natural light, and a feature cantilevered staircase connects both floors allowing for interaction between staff like never before. Clean with a minimal aesthetic, the attention to detail is impeccable; perfect alignment of elements such as metalwork inlay bands on the terrazzo floor with architectural lines of the walls and ceiling adds an impressive sophistication.

"Our new office is so much more than a place to come and work every day. It's a place that truly reflects who we are as a firm and as a business."
