The first master-planned community in the area, Empire Livingston marks a new beginning for the town of Hagersville (just outside of Hamilton, Ontario). For a new community of residents looking to plant their roots, the presentation centre design was inspired by the concept of a modern general store or apothecary, familiar to potential buyers from the region.

The space was designed to be familiar and approachable and integrate seamlessly into the small town feel of the community. Hand-hewn woods and oil-rubbed bronze metal detailing are found throughout the presentation centre. Vintage-inspired library catalogue cabinets, custom designed finish displays and antique looking furniture are carefully detailed and selected bringing the apothecary concept to life. The project was such a success, with all 240 homes of the development sold within the first 5 months.

Technology was incorporated to enhance the customer experience through the strategic use and placement of interactive touchscreens, yet the overall design and furnishings make the space feel warm and intimate. We wanted to ensure potential buyers felt comfortable and right at home, even in a sales environment. The feel of the presentation centre was also incorporated and carried through to the model homes of the project.
