One of Conroe, Texas’ largest communities, Harper’s Preserve is a beautiful neighbourhood surrounded by nature. Located near the vibrant Woodlands community and just a short drive to downtown Houston, this ideal area offers access to natural amenities, trails, and wildlife.

For their Nokota model home, Empire Communities USA partnered with Figure3 to design a space that incorporates the lush natural environment and evokes a sense of history through carefully curated materials and furnishings. The home was designed to appeal to a demographic that includes young families who want the look and feel of a Woodlands home without the high end price.

The library is a study in restrained luxury, with organic elements such as lush greenery, textured wood, and natural brass that nod to the surrounding outdoor landscape.

Taking into account the Texan preference for a more traditional style of design, Figure3’s aim was to preserve a classic, rustic aesthetic, while introducing clean lines and modern elements to create an elegant, comfortable feel.

Through this contrast of old and new, and by bringing natural materials into the space, the house has a distinctly artisanal feel. Antique-style furniture in non-matching finishes evokes a sense of history, as if the pieces were handed down through generations or found at a local market.

A large trestle table is surrounded with clean-lined chairs in wood and linen. Warm grey walls and elegant white drapery create a sense of warmth, and are enhanced by deep bronze finishes in the accessories.
