With a new corporate office in downtown Toronto, the newly created QuadReal needed a space where four merging companies and up to 180 consolidated staff members could come together and work under one roof.
Many of the employees had never worked together before, and some had never even met, so developing a brand identity was crucial to informing how the office should look and feel.
The office features timeless finishes with a modern edge.
Figure3 developed and performed visioning exercises with Quadreal’s executive team to understand their culture, perceived identity, work style, and future workplace aspirations. It was clear they wanted a departure from the stuffy, old-fashioned office spaces they were used to.
They wanted an office that was timeless yet modern, sophisticated yet inviting, with a positive, youthful energy that would attract world-class talent who would be proud to work there. The space needed to have an established, professional office feel, but also had to be flexible and promote collaboration.
An uninterrupted 360-degree view of downtown Toronto is the backdrop for the office. No large corner offices are included in the plan, ensuring the beautiful view is part of the experience.
Each staff member has their own dedicated workspace, with informal meeting spaces and unassigned focus areas strategically placed throughout to create opportunities for collaboration.
