Team Leader, Residential (Intermediate Designer)

We partner with business leaders to invent exceptional places for people to work, shop and live. Figure3 is currently seeking a Team Leader, Residential (Intermediate Designer)


Reporting to the Director, Residential you will work collaboratively with the team to develop design solutions to support a variety of condominium projects. As a Team Leader you may lead aspects of projects accountable for managing the client relationship and driving deliverables throughout the project; or be a project team member contributing to all phases of the design process.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop innovative and sustainable design solutions
  • Lead day-to-day activities requiring direct client contact
  • Resolve project challenges as needed to ensure deadlines are met at all phases
  • Coordinate activities with external partners, vendors, architects, and engineers
  • Provide project direction to the team, manage resources, oversee the quality of deliverables
  • Create schematic floor plans and develop design concepts with three dimensional renderings
  • Oversee the development of drawing packages outlining all details necessary for the build
  • Coordinate with the GC to ensure the space is built in accordance with the contract documents
  • Review progress of construction on site, reviewing shop drawings and approving finishes
  • Improve internal processes to build the overall strength of the Figure3 Team
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior designers


  • University graduate in Interior Design or other relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience ideally with exposure to current global trends
  • Demonstrated understanding of multiple residences projects including the ability to read architectural and engineering drawings
  • Demonstrated success in leading a design project as a trusted advisor to clients
  • Ability to present ideas and concepts successfully to multiple stakeholders
  • Confidence in your ability to manage client and consultant expectations
  • Active membership in relevant industry associations
  • AutoCAD skills are essential; Sketch-up, In-Design, abilities are beneficial
