Duties
- Work collaboratively with the team to develop innovative and sustainable design solutions
- Lead day-to-day activities requiring direct client contact
- Resolve project challenges as needed to ensure deadlines are met at all phases
- Develop space plans and conceptual design incorporating lighting systems and custom fixtures
- Work with external vendors and co-ordinate activities with architects and consulting engineers
- Effectively present ideas and concepts to multiple stakeholders
- Provide project direction to the team, manage resources, oversee the quality of deliverables
- Oversee the development of drawing packages outlining all details
- Coordinate with the GC to ensure the build is in accordance with the contract documents
- Improve internal processes, provide coaching, and share expertise
- Build positive relationships with clients and industry vendors
Qualifications
- University graduate in Interior Design or other relevant discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in creating and delivering innovative retail solutions
- Demonstrated success in leading a design project as trusted advisor to clients
- Confidence in your ability to manage client and consultant expectations
- Active membership in relevant industry associations
- Strong AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop and InDesign skills essential
