Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Duties

Reporting to our Director, Marketing and Communications, supporting figure3’s marketing and communications strategy, you will be engaged in the development and implementation of a wide range of marketing and communications initiatives. To be successful in this role, you are someone who is creative curious, engaging, energetic and has a passion for storytelling!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and execution of local, national and international marketing and communications campaigns
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues to identify and develop story ideas consistent with the strategy and voice of figure3, and appealing to various audiences
  • Draft original and engaging communications materials such as press releases, articles, project case studies, award submissions, website and social media content
  • Play a key role working with top media across North America to secure favourable coverage for the company by way of compelling media pitches
  • Support production of marketing and business development materials such as presentations, brochures, and templates
  • Assist in managing figure3’s social media strategy across all platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.); frequent posting, community monitoring, analytics and reporting
  • Assist in managing figure3’s website, including updating and publishing content on a consistent basis
  • Assist in managing figure3’s marketing calendar and coordinating participation in events such as industry award programs, trade shows, conferences, and speaking engagements
  • Coordinate photo and video shoots with clients
  • Manage and maintain figure3’s image library and marketing resources
  • Monitor industry news and trends, as well as track figure3’s media coverage
  • Work with external marketing and branding agencies

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in marketing, communications or other relevant discipline
  • 2-3 years relevant experience, ideally within the creative industry or design/build industry
  • Superior creative writing and proofreading skills and excellent verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of the media landscape including strong social media fluency
  • Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop and WordPress; experience with Illustrator and Premiere would also be beneficial
  • Critical eye for visual and graphic layout, able to adhere to brand guidelines, with consistency of format in both print and electronic mediums
  • Motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, resourceful, with ability to multi-task and deliver to deadlines
